This doesnt meet any criteria for fascism, the closest is its mild economic reform where fascism requires extreme economic reform.
The sad thing is the usualy suggested alternative is the Republican party, the policies of which are actually much closer to the definition of fascism.
Fascism is the marriage of corporations and government; the govt controlling industry without owning it. Mussolini suggested that corporatism was a better name than fascism.
Most cities even small ones had public transport or cab service, very rare now. The major cities have bus/train but most suck especially compared to Europe. GM and others were even fined in LA for successfully conspiring to buy up and undermine the pub. trans. but it was too late. Suburb/interstate was undertaken because it was pushed by auto/oil industry. Even the old rail routes are a complete mess because they would choose direction based on which town(s) gave the biggest subsidies to pass.

maybe you don’t live in a major metropolitan area, but we’ve got a reliable bus system in milwaukee, no commuter rail though. Chicago does, and the el as well, in addition to the CTA buses. Obviously no high-speed rail yet. The U.S. is a large country. We had a population boom and housing grab into suburban areas postwar, and a favorable situation then with OPEC, so suburbia seemed to work at the time, but obviously not sustainable.
Should have invested in public transportation like Europe did. The US has build it’s entire infastructure around everyone having a car and its going to be a huge disaster.

Someone tell me why globalism is good? Seems like it helps the owner class and developing countries only.
Globalists don’t believe in tariffs of any kind . They consider such rules “protectionist” This is an almost religious ideology.
I doubt the Chinese auto industry will be able to compete against Japanese cars. More importantly, I’m sure there are barriers to protect North American industry against a flood of foreign cars.
But Globalization definitely leveled the playing field between competing countries.
